How to Add Text Form Field in Word

Adding text form fields to a Word document can be incredibly useful for creating fillable forms that can be easily distributed and filled out by others. Step 1: Open Your Word Document

Step 2: Navigate to the Developer Tab

2. In the Developer tab, click on the “Properties” button in the “Text” group.
3. In the Properties dialog box, you can set various options, such as the field name, default value, format, and more.

Step 5: Save Your Form

After you have added and customized your text form fields, it’s important to save your document as a Word form. This ensures that the form fields are protected and can be filled out by others:

1. Click on the “File” tab.
2. Select “Save As” from the menu.
3. In the “Save As” dialog box, choose a location to save your document.
4. In the “File Format” dropdown menu, select “Word Document (.docx)”.
5. Click “Save” to save your document as a Word form.
