How to Delete the Explore Page on Instagram
The Instagram Explore page is a feature that suggests content based on your interests and the accounts you follow. While it can be a great way to discover new content, some users may find it intrusive or irrelevant. If you’re one of those users and want to delete the Explore page on Instagram, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you do so.
Step 1: Open Instagram
First, open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Make sure you are logged in to your account.
Step 2: Access the Explore Page
Swipe right from the Home tab to access the Explore page. This page will display a mix of photos, videos, and stories that Instagram thinks you might like.
Step 3: Tap the Gear Icon
At the top right corner of the Explore page, you will see a gear icon. Tap on it to access the settings for the Explore page.
Step 4: Tap on “Explore and Activity”
In the settings menu, you will find an option called “Explore and Activity.” Tap on it to view more options related to the Explore page.
Step 5: Toggle Off “Suggestions for You”
Within the “Explore and Activity” menu, you will see an option called “Suggestions for You.” This feature is responsible for showing you personalized content on the Explore page. Toggle this option off to disable personalized suggestions.
Step 6: Delete the Explore Page
After toggling off “Suggestions for You,” you may want to delete the Explore page entirely. To do this, go back to the Home tab and swipe right again. You will see a new option called “Explore” at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it, and then tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Select “Delete Page” from the menu that appears.
Step 7: Confirm Deletion
A confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the Explore page. Tap “Delete” to confirm your decision.
Now, the Explore page on Instagram should be deleted, and you will no longer see personalized suggestions on this page. If you ever change your mind and want to restore the Explore page, simply follow the same steps and toggle the “Suggestions for You” option back on.
