How to Backwash an Intex Sand Filter

Backwashing is the process of reversing the flow of water through the filter to remove accumulated debris and dirt. Step 1: Turn Off the Pump
Before you begin the backwashing process, make sure to turn off the pump that is connected to the Intex sand filter. This will prevent any water from flowing through the filter during the cleaning process.

Step 3: Open the Backwash Valve
